On Saturday 16th July 2016, I went to the Fake Festival at Manor Heath Park, Halifax to see tribute bands perform songs by Blondie, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queen. I’d not been to anything like this before, and wasn’t sure what to expect.
I like some songs by the Chillis, and all Queen’s, but as I’ve been a big fan of Blondie since I was a lad (well, who hasn’t?), and seeing a Blondie tribute band was billed I bought my ticket on the first day of sale.
One word… WOW!
The bands were amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be attending more.
I was in two minds whether to take my camera or not, even at the last minute I was unsure to take it, but I did…

On Saturday 14th May 2016, I went to the 1940s weekend at Haworth, West Yorkshire. I had only been to one event like this before (Steampunk At Haworth 2014) so I had an idea of what it would be like. But when I got there I was amazed at how busy it was.
Main Street was like a river in flood of people, and Central Park was like a sea of people, the whole village was alive with memorabilia of the 40s and the atmosphere was amazing. I enjoyed the day and returned on Sunday 15th May 2016.
